Anyone else want to buy that Purple Piercing Moose?

Postby Blakemore Effects » Tue Apr 30, 2013 3:25 am

I hope everyone gets the same eBay links on their page, but that purple Way Huge Piercing Moose is calling my name. Every time I log onto this site, I click on that link. Take away the tempation, Bart! Haha.

As early adopters we all get a slice of the ad revenue! That's right isn't it, Bart? :P

In May it will be 10 years ago that I started my first site about envelope filters, that would be a good reason to do something (either with sponsors or by myself).

Nope, I built a Piercing Moose clone for myself :)
Very cool sounding pedal, although it has a big mid scoop (a bit too much for me)

Lol, I think you'd be disappointed :D

But if it improves (thanks to the forum), it would allow me to work on some interesting ideas for which I don't have time or resources right now and I think you'd like them

Hey Joris. Try replacing the 22k resistor with a lower value. 10k is good. Or replace it with a 20k trimmer and you can dial in the mid scoop to taste.

That second one wasn't popping up yesterday! Looks to be more expensive though, but that's weird there are two purple ones up at the same time. I used to own one of the normal black ones, and it was definitely cool. From what I remember, it was just a direct clone of the Foxx Tone Machine, but still sounded great.

Yes, that's because I changed something so it shows perfect matches (on top of the list) longer than close matches (for those I only show the new auctions from the last few days).

Thanks, I'll try it out next time I'm soldering stuff!

From the "Forum Features" thread:

Topic Prefixes (required in some forums): with these you can select the type of topic you're posting:

Helpful for forumites: easier to find the right thread
Helpful for the site and its moderators:
To link to certain types of posts from the pedal pages (for example: to review threads from the review section)
If the forum becomes too big/busy certain types of threads can be moved to subforums.

Just trying to help Bart out. ;)
