I'm Thomas from Germany

After being an IT Manager in the Automotive Industry for many years,
I am back to my roots: Music & Electronics, that means Guitars & Effects ;)

I am playing guitar for many many years and I did some
meaningless records & compositions for other artists.

Furthermore I am collecting effects - on a low level.
Thats the reason why I am here. It's a nice and huge effects database.

Thank you Bart !

Hi! I'm Pepe from Germany. Some of you might know me already. I registered, because DiscoFreq promised to have good eBay search possibilities here. Well, let's see! :)

Hi everyone.

I'm Kev and I live in a wet and windy part of England :)

Some of you may remember me from the Bossarea forum and Stompboxzone.

I've been collecting effects pedals since about 1970 - I should have come here many years ago !

Some are vintage but many are not - I'm simply interested in any pedal that I can make a noise with. My 'specialist subject' is Boss pedals - I have one example of every type of compact pedal produced and lots of variations and duplicates. I also have a severe case of GAS

Thanks to existing member rafmax for making me aware of this forum.

Music plays a major part in my life and I think I'm going to enjoy it here :D

Welcome guys! The forum is pretty silent since the anniversary giveaways are over (they ended before the summer holidays in 2013, so I blame the timing as well), but I still want to get some more activity here :-)

I hope you'll enjoy the features of myFXDB (http://my.effectsdatabase.com/), I have plans for several improvements but I also have to keep the site running and up to date (hope to get some help for that too, I'll add some tools at myFXDB).

Hi guys,

Michael in Austin, I mostly hang out on the Metroamp forum since I'm into building Marshall amps and the variations in the awesome circuits of the mid-60s. I joined to learn about new, obscure pedals and to take advantage of the notification features here. I've been searching high and low for a Dimehead PLL, maybe I'll get lucky! Thanks!

Alas I am no one at all, living a life of quiet desperation, I merely own and buy too much gear. No longer doing the band thing or live gigs, just working towards building my own studio just for kicks. Heavy fusion is my thing which ranges progressive jazz, to blues and metal, sorry no country or anything resembling poppy rap-ish music.
BTW, Digging the hell out of that Brimstone Dist pedal, adding that one on my want list.

I use an array of gear from my GR55 synth rig to my std guitar rig arsenal of somewhere around 14 pedals and rack goodies. Very untraditional rig designs as I gave up trying to buy decent tubes and recently sent back two new 100watt heads that simply did not work out of the box.
Praying to Santa for a Kemper or the new Fractal unit which just came out, but too much for my budget ability. I am retired early and have to pay for the house and the bills before the gear. Just having fun with my music and enjoying the freedom of playing what I feel like playing or creating. New here and have not have a chance to pic my latest gear layout which is overkill but I like a lot of crayons in my box.

Sorry it's a bit on the late side, but welcome to the forum Fusion. I hope that your KPA or Fractal dreams work out, I went kemper about 6 months ago and haven't looked back.

Hello, I'm Gabriel from Toulouse, France.
I like fat duck liver, guitar, cheese, effects, free rock, dried sausages, stupid music and strangely I'm vegan friendly.
After working for too long in planes and cars electronics with a more than decent salary I decided it was time to stop. So I worked on Zorg Effects and I'm now trying to make a living selling one pedal a month to my friends... ^_^

I did a long brief description of Zorg effects here.

I'm Jason. I design the hardware for Hologram Electronics pedals. On nights and weekends I even build a few. If you wind up with one of our pedals please don't use it as a weapon because it's full of my fingerprints. Glad to meet you all!

Hello! My name is Curtis, I design & build primarily discrete transistor circuits for work in sound that are not based on the classics. My company is named Rochambeau Musical Apparatus. http://www.rochambeau.net/

Aside from that, I slowly play a low tuned guitar in a band that rarely practices anymore, and have a solo noise/experimental project which often involves hundreds of pounds of old tubed equipment. Be excellent to each other.

First - props to Bart for this site. I can only imagine the amount of work you put into it, but wow look at this place fly :)

I'm Mark, my handle on a few boards has been Furtive for a long time. I was an Ibanez pedal collector; my website from 99-02 was classicpedals.com. I ended up getting out of pedals to pursue early Fender stuff. In 2009-10 I started building mini amp cabinets and enclosures, and outfitting them with pre-made 9V amp circuits. If anyone likes old tweed amps/antique audio and builds pedals, pm me.

Present day, I'm retiring from the corporate IT world and getting back to what always made me happy: playing with gear and making a racket. Also planning to start tinkering again and doing gear reviews on youtube.

Good news is part of my old Ibanez collection survived 15 years of numerous moves and two marriages. Got a few complete series (L, DCP, EC, 7), a huge binder full of manuals/company literature, and plenty of free time on my hands. Looking forward to sharing what info I have and learning from the rest of ya.
