If you'd like to introduce yourself, this is the best place for it

I'm Bart, I work on applications for a company in the financial sector (doing independent comparisons of loans, insurances and investments) and I have a great son (1.5 y.o. right now).
In the late 90's I was buying pedals to use with a few analog synths and drum machines searching for interesting sounds (at a lower price than buying more analog synths). A bit later I started playing some bass (not very good though  ).
Somewhere in 2003 (May?) I started a small site about envelope filters (DiscoFreq's Envelope Filter Site) because only a few models were widely known. When the list was complete I started adding other effects and a few years ago I changed the name to EffectsDatabase (when that domain became available). The last few years all of my spare time is spent working on the site, I still try a lot of pedals, but don't have time to make music anymore.

I'm Ron Neely, owner/operator of RonSound effects and repairs. Also known as The EH Man, I have probably the largest collection of EH stuff in the world, which I am in the process of selling to another collector. I play bass and currently I use no effects although that may change soon.

Hi everyone I'm Ben. Since 2011 I've run 0xd FX which is a hobby thing I do in my spare time. I do build pedals still, but it is less and less with everything else going on, mainly working as a robotics programmer for a company that develop robots for cancer research, and playing guitar with my band This Fire. Like all of us here I have a bit of a thing for pedals, my hands-down favourite being the WMD Geiger Counter, which sadly I haven't managed to slip in a This Fire song yet!

I'm Raphael,
back in 1989, started to learn/work as an assistant then engineer in a studio (here, in Paris) with old school guys, good old desks, and good old gear...that kind http://www.funkyjunkfrance.com/Images%20Stock/Polygram%201974/
That's when / where I first met a Musitronics Biphase :o
10 years after (!) I started to compose music for french tv (movies, docs) which is still what I do for a living.
I always loved gear... but I have to admit that I am now in a strange process : collecting vintage effects and pedals. Too bad

I'm LordRiffenstein, you can call me Lord but I also occasionally listen to Yoeri.

I like guitars, amps, pedals, single malts, British humor and a whole lot of other stuff. By day I work in IT, by night I pretend to be a rockstar. I sometimes write reviews for FXDB and have my own online shop.
"I've spent most of my money on booze, women and guitar gear. The rest I've just wasted."

Hi all.

I've been a musician since about '87. My first pedal was a DOD FX50B Overdrive Plus, that I still use regularly. I started looping shortly thereafter with Digitech PDS 20/20. I have a collection of DOD & Digitech gear on a scale that really doesn't make sense. And I'm currently in two bands that I'll likely link to in my sig.

I actually started a DOD site called DOD-OD, but before I could finish it, I discovered Disco Freq and frankly everything I was doing was covered better here, so I dropped it. I do still run a site dedicated to Acoustic Black Widow guitars however.

All DOD info you can add is very welcome! :-)

David here from Brimstone Audio. I play bass through no less than 14 pedal effects on two effects boards, one on the ground and one up high where I can reach the knobs for easy tweaking. My love of effects pedals led me to a career of designing, selling, and arranging shrubbaries - I mean effects pedals. :) Kidding aside, I do sales as as well as R&D, web design & graphics at Brimstone.

Bart was the first one to notice us on the web, I think it might have been two days after the first edition of our website was published. Quick on the draw, that one is. Excellent job on the forum; we're fans of Gearphoria as well. Look forward to being a part of it!

Haha Bart seems to have a way of doing that - within an hour of me putting up the first picture of the first pedal I ever built Bart had emailed me and ordered one!
