Is there something we should be looking for? Without knowing what to look for I'd expect it to work from what I'm seeing. Is it not working?
Everything I know I learned by screwing it up at least twice.

Actually, it does work, I am not real sure the way it is supposed to sound, but I viewed some "youtubes" and it sounds very similar. It did not work when I received it, but for as little as I know, I turned (I think what is called a trim pot?) until it started to make some amazing sounds. My concern is: all the pictures of the circuitry I have seen on the web do not look like this. It was given to me "as not working". I was just wondering if this is what it is supposed to look like. Thank you so much for commenting on this, I am new here and very hungry to learn.

This is an older version. I'm guessing most of the pics you've seen were of the the newer nano version. It is much smaller and its components are much more tightly packed together.

Enjoy your newly functioning toy!
